Managing matured fixed rate positions
The June quarterly maturity is coming up this Saturday, June 15th, at 8 PM EDT. All fixed rate positions automatically convert to variable rate positions at maturity without any action needed from you.
Specifically here’s what will happen for each kind of fixed rate product:
Fixed rate lending
Fixed rate loans will automatically start earning the variable lend rate at maturity. You can convert them back into fixed rate loans in one click using the manage option in the portfolio holdings screen.
Step 1: open the manage menu.
Step 2: choose a new maturity and fix your rate.
Fixed rate debt
Fixed rate debt will automatically start accruing interest at the variable borrow rate at maturity. You do not need to repay your loan at this point. There is no penalty for letting your fixed rate loan settle into a variable rate loan.
